On Tuesday and Wednesday, November 8-9, 2022, the Yemeni Institute of Directors (YIoD) implemented the second part of the Board Member Series program BDS-9  with the IFC methodology, in its ninth run, for members of the board of directors of elite Yemeni companies and banks. During this part, the role of the board of directors was discussed in Managing the company’s strategy, the interaction between the board of directors and the company’s management, and many of the topics that were addressed in the aspect of planning and succession of power. The issue of involving women in boards of directors and senior leadership was also discussed.

The Yemeni Institute of Directors (YIoD), one of the Yemeni Business Club (YBC) projects, implemented the first part of the Accredited Board Member Series program for the ninth run. The program was attended by members of the board of directors of elite Yemeni companies and banks on Wednesday and Thursday 26-27 October 2022. The first part gave the general entrance for corporate governance, forms and composition of boards of directors, methods of board evaluation, and the board’s most important roles and tasks. In addition to the internal and external frameworks of governance. What is worth mentioning here is that, for the second time, we delivered the part about the importance of the presence of women on boards and business leadership.
