BDS Program- Run 3- Part 4

The Yemeni Institute of Directors, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation, concluded on February 3-4, 2016 the fourth and final part of the training program, a series of developing the skills of members of boards of directors. This part dealt with the legal aspects of corporate governance and its relationship to Yemeni laws and legislation, where he has participated in the program that spans Four months twenty five members of the boards of directors and senior managers in several Yemeni companies and banks who praised the quality of the program in general for its importance in enhancing the success of their business in the short and long term. On Thursday, the Institute held a ceremony honoring the first and second batches of the same program, and many businessmen and prominent academic and social figures attended the ceremony. .

TOT Program- Run 3

The Yemeni Institute of Directors YIoD implemented the qualitative qualification program, preparing trainers in the field of governance (TOT) in its third edition, during the period 12-13 October 2016, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Where the program aimed to prepare specialized trainers in the field of corporate governance with a focus on small and medium enterprises, where a number of trainers from different disciplines participated in the program (corporate governance – business administration – accounting and financial management – banking sciences – marketing – human resources – rights and law) . Participants praised the importance of having efficient trainers in corporate governance, which in turn are of urgent importance today.

TOT Program- Run 2

Thursday 27 October The Yemeni Institute of Directors (one of the entities of the Yemeni Business Club) in cooperation with the founders of International Finance concluded the second program for the year 2016 in preparing trainers in corporate governance, where the program was attended by 18 participants and participants from various administrative specialties. The program, presented by Dr. Adnan Al-Sada and Professor Anwar Mahyoub, focused on the primary keys to corporate governance and presentation skills for the category of members of boards of directors and senior managers in Yemeni companies. In a statement to Sister Ghadeer Al-Muqhafi, the Institute’s projects officer, she explained the importance of obtaining a professional and specialized local team in corporate governance so that the Yemeni business environment can receive the concept of corporate governance and start applying the best practices it recommends starting from awareness and ending with the true application of corporate governance requirements. The team is currently undergoing the necessary assessments to be able to take responsibility for application in the field. Participants showed their willingness, which was evident through their participation during the program.

International Business Strategies Program

Yesterday, Wednesday, February 1, the Yemeni Institute of Directors (one of the entities of the Yemeni Business Club) concluded in cooperation with the Finance Corporation in the Egyptian capital Cairo – its qualitative program, which lasted for two days and aims to build and improve the capabilities of Yemeni businessmen in light of the intense competition in the business environment. During the presentation of distinct strategies and practical cases to transfer and exchange the experiences and experiences of some companies while discussing the positive effects of governance on the resilience of companies in light of the intense competition and the existing economic conditions, this expert program in the development of international strategies was managed by Mr. Martin Testa, lecturer of the Faculty of Business at the University of Maastricht Dutch and many universities International. Where about 20 people participated in this program, representing the senior leadership of many Yemeni business enterprises

CS Program- Run 2

The Yemeni Institute of Direcors YIoD held its second board secretary program during the period from 21 to 23 March in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation IFC. The program focused on the vital role that the board secretary plays within the company and its active role in evaluating boards of directors. More than ten Yemeni companies from various sectors participated in the program, who praised the importance and quality of the program in general and its impact on the overall performance of the company.

The Yemeni Institute of Directors, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), concluded on Saturday and Sunday, 15 and 16 April 2017, the second part of the board member program approved in its fourth edition, which is directed towards companies and banks strategy, in addition to all organizational aspects of interest to members of boards of directors and arranging the relationship between them and the parties Relevant stakeholders, owners, and executive management, in addition to focusing on the aspect of inter-generational power succession planning. This program was attended by trainees from various Yemeni companies and banks.

BDS Program- Run 4-Part 1

The Yemeni Institute of Directors YIoD, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), concluded on Wednesday and Thursday, 29 and 30 March 2017, the first part of the approved board member program directed to administrative, organizational, financial and legal matters of which are of interest to members of boards of directors, within the program of the approved board member in its fourth edition . The program was attended by trainees from various Yemeni companies and banks.

BDS Program- Run 7-Part 1 (YIIC)

The Yemeni Institute of Directors (YIoD), one of the Yemeni Business Club (YBC) entities in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), implemented on Wednesday and Thursday, 15-16 January 2020 the first part of the BDS program approved in its seventh edition for the members of board of directors of  Yemeni Islamic Insurance Company and Yemen Mobile and representatives a group of Yemeni companies and banks, which gave the section the general entrance to corporate governance, forms and composition of boards of directors, methods of evaluating the council and its most important roles and tasks in addition to the internal and external frameworks of governance. And also discussed an axis of the presence of women program in boards of directors and business leadership.

BDS Program- Run 6- Part 3

The Yemeni Institute of Directors (YIoD), in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), concluded on Monday, December 17, the third part of the BDS Program – the sixth edition, with a varied participation of representatives of Yemeni companies and banks, in which the program focused in its financial part on the financial details of the Board of Directors and what matters is their knowledge of financial management, and the participants in the program will complete the last part according to the program plan in the legal subject.
