YSMEs 25- Human Resources in light of governance practices

The Yemeni Institute of Directors (YIoD), one of the Yemeni Business Club (YBC) entities, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), concluded on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, the training program “Human Resources in light of governance practices” as a part of the activities of the Y.SMEs 25 project, which witnessed the attendance of human resources managers from companies and the financial institutions that participated in the project.

The importance of governance and what a chartered accountant should know about it

The Yemeni Institute of Directors (YIoD),  one of the Yemeni Business Club (YBC) entities – in cooperation with the Institute of Training of Accountants and Auditors of the Association of Yemeni Accountants implemented on Saturday August 18, 2018  the awareness workshop entitled “The importance of governance and what a chartered accountant should know about it” The workshop was attended by a large number of chartered accountant interested in governance and its applications.

On Saturday, December 16, 2017, the Yemeni Institute of Directors concluded the fourth part of the BDS5 approved program for a member of the Board of Directors. This section examined the legal aspects and the council’s role in protecting shareholders ’rights.

On Thursday, November 23, 2017, the Yemeni Institute of Directors concluded the third part of the BDS program for the fifth edition. This section examined the financial aspects of corporate governance and its relationship to Yemeni laws and legislation.

BDS Program-Run 5-Part 2

On Sunday, November 5, 2017, the Yemeni Institute of Directors concluded the second part of the BDS program for the fifth edition. This part dealt with strategic planning and its relationship to corporate governance and practical tools for strategic direction and administrative control in addition to all organizational aspects of interest to members of boards of directors and arranges the relationship between them and the relevant parties, including shareholders, owners and executive management, in addition to focusing on the aspect of planning the succession of generations between the generations. The program was attended by trainees from various Yemeni companies and banks.

BDS Program-Run 7-Part 1

The Yemeni Institute of Directors (YIoD), one of the Yemeni Business Club (YBC) entities in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), concluded on Wednesday, December 18th, the first part of the BDS program approved in its seventh edition for the members of Board of Directors of Yemeni Islamic Insurance Company and representatives of a group of Yemeni companies and banks, which gave the part the general entrance to governance Companies, forms and composition of boards of directors, methods of evaluation of the council and the most important roles and tasks in addition to the internal and external frameworks of governance. As it was discussed for the first time an axis of the program for the presence of women in boards of directors and business leadership.
